Selling your car to us

Do I need a roadworthy to sell you my car?
No. In Victoria a roadworthy certificate is only required when you sell to a private buyer. Selling to a licensed motor car trader, you do not need one.
Do you buy cars with high kilometres?
Yes. Most of what we buy has done well over 100,000 km. It affects the number, it does not stop the sale.
What should I have ready?
Your registration papers or just the rego number, your driver licence, both sets of keys if you have them, and your service books and receipts. If there is finance owing, the payout figure from your lender. None of it stops you getting an offer — send the details first and sort the paperwork after.

The offer

How do you work out the offer?
Kilometres, condition, service history, what that make and model is doing in the market right now, and whether it is registered and what it would need to pass a roadworthy.
Is there any obligation once I get the offer?
None. Get the number, then decide. That is it.
Does the valuation cost anything?
No. The valuation is free and it commits you to nothing. Get the number, then decide.

Payment, pickup and paperwork

Do I have to bring the car to you?
No. We come to you.
Do you charge for pickup?
No. Pickup is free.
What is an LMCT, and why does it matter?
A licensed motor car trader is a regulated business. Licence LMCT 13188 is issued by Consumer Affairs Victoria and the business runs on ABN 47 246 699 031. Both are public records, so you can check them before you agree to anything. A private buyer on Marketplace has no licence to lose.

Why a licensed trader is different.

The licence is the part you can check.

There is a real, regulated business behind this transaction. Licence LMCT 13188 is issued by Consumer Affairs Victoria, and the business runs on ABN 47 246 699 031. Both are public records, so you can check them before you agree to anything.

The car stops being your problem.

When a private sale goes wrong, it goes wrong here: the buyer never transfers the registration, and the fines, the tolls and the liability keep landing on you. Selling to a licensed trader is what removes that.

Paid the same day.

No holding deposit, no “I will transfer it tonight”, no waiting on a cheque.

Free valuation, free pickup, no obligation.

The valuation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If you take the offer, we come to you and collect the car.
